GOLD RUSH EVENT FORMAT
Florida has some GREAT events to choose from, especially in 2025. We wanted to introduce something a little different with some elements from the past mixed and some changes to bring costs down and bring the intensity up! The rule book has more details but here are the basics on how our format is played.
SCORING points
We will be using an old school center flag scoring system. The flag will be placed in the center of the field and it will be your job to pick it up and carry it to the other team’s start box to score a point.
Match format
Matches are a race to 3 (best of 5) which means, the first team to earn 3 points, wins. You may also win by having more points than the opposing team when the match time expires. Preliminary matches will be allowed to tie. Finals matches will go to a 3 minute 5v5 overtime point. If the overtime points runs to a stalemate whichever team has more bodies alive on the field, wins. If both teams have an equal number of bodies then we go to 1 v 1 points!
Time
Matches will be 12 minutes long with 90 seconds between each point. This will not be a split deck format it’s your team and the opponent fighting it out with no distractions for 12 minutes.
limited paint
This is a limited paint format series. Each player is only allowed to carry 4 pods and a loader onto the field. Once on the field players may exchange pods with one another, so grab a few from that snake player especially if he’s slow, he won’t need them.
sideline coaching
We want to bring the chaos back to the game! Anyone outside the net is allowed to speak to living players on the field. RESPECT is the key here, get too rowdy and you are going home.
rate of fire
The maximum rate of fire is 10.5 bps and all player’s must use NXL’s millennium firing mode.
